Can I quote someone else’s work?

Citation

Yes, you can, but only if the following conditions are met:

  1. The citation must be part of a polemic, announcement, assessment, scientific thesis or piece with a similar purpose.
  2. The quote must be functional. It must therefore support the content of the cited work and must not be for decorative purposes only.
  3. The quote must clearly state the source including the author's name.
